Embellishing Album Cover

Hello dear friends! 

Its Suzna here and I have to admit, when I received my DT package of beautiful DMC's

I really love these stuffs and I would say 80 percent of my projects use beauties from CC site

 

Today I will show you the album covers that I made for baby girl. This Album covered with a fabric and are so nice to hold them in the hands. Sometimes I make these type of albums as custom orders and really enjoy the baby theme the most. I already shared the idea of binding / Covering fabrics in my previous CC post

Here is an embellished cover of a Baby album: Prettypink 

The chipboards I have used is from Mudra and Wycinanka and the other fashion, bubble accessories from DMC and CC. I absolutely love it and think I need to buy some more designs. The flowers are all from prima. And those lace collection i bought it from different store

Easy And Quick Scrabook Album Binding

Hey there! Suzna here......:-) 

Did you think I disappeared? I know it's been a few weeks since my last posting.

So my project today is a small scrapbook with easy binding technique. I took few the step by step pic. Hope u guys can understand.

And This is the cover design of my Album

This Album Binding originally by me ;-), Actually i am a lazy women - same time i am finding easy way to finish it.

Okay let start sharing the idea

Here i took 300gm Black cardstock, perfect for album pages

Main cover of scrapbook : I choose 1mm chipboard, In that i stick 300gm black cardstock. So that will get little more heavy weight cover.

These fabrics are Men's shirt pieces. Easily available in any textile shop.

This is rotary cutter, Easy to cut fabrics.

This is the way i am choosing pages. This album has only 2 pages. And i am planing each page can hold multiple pics.

  I start sticking with both cover sides. 

My album size : 6X8.5 inch

I score my cardstock like this : 8.5" - 9" - 9.5"

and the rest of the card stock is 2.5"

so that is the 1st page of my album

And i did same on other side too.

These two piece of cardstock going to sick on it. Like pocket style.

And here i stick small piece of fabric to cover / attach the 2 pages. Because of this style attaching pages (fabrics), this album can widely open.

After pasting pattern paper, This is what my album looks like.

Follow your Heart : Golden Canvas

Good Morning Everyone

Someone told me always Follow your Heart, so for today's post I have small canvas which I have made to gift to someone who always follow her heart .....

Its super easy and quick to make, and I find it perfect to gift someone just to remind them how special they are.

I have a step by step pictorial - How to build this GOLDEN CANVAS 

STEP 1

I have taken small canvas 8x8 inches and have applied one layer of Black Gesso.

 STEP 2 
Once gesso dries up, cover the entire surface with texture paste clear crackle
and allow to air dry or you are impatient like me use your heat gun to expedite the process.

 

Look at these cracks.... 

STEP 3

 Once the crackle dries, I have applied texture paste silver antique using ranger stencils bubble.

STEP 4  

 Once dried up, apply randomly brillance wax ( any color of your choice)

 

STEP 5  

Take Dress My craft pattern papers any print of your choice, cut thin strips and distress the edges all around the strips and squares using Vintage Photo.

 I have randomly pasted the pattern pieces around.

 

STEP 6 

To tone down or give the frame antique look the I have used ranger gold embossing powder

 Its time to assemble all the flowers and frames on canvas.

The pink big bloom is handmade and for the same I have used DMC glitter and thread pollens.

Rest other flowers are from Prima.

VIOLA its done :)

Shadow Box album with DCWV Blush papers & DMC accessories

Hey Everyone!!

Firstly wish you a Merry Christmas!
Welcome to crafters corner blog and today I am here with a brand new post.  You all know I love making albums and in this post I have an album for you but with a little twist.
Have you tried Idea-ology Configuration chipboard shadow book box?
If not, then you will love to try it after this post.

I have used this shadow book box to make shadow box album and I have also used DCWV Blush collection. You know I love trying different paper packs and DCWV is one of my favourite. Trust me you won't believe how beautiful this collection is until you try it.

First let's see the project,

I have altered Tim-Holtz Idea-ology shadow book box and gave it a whole new look with DCWV Blush papers.

Shadow Book Box

This package contains one 9x6 inch mini chipboard shadow box book with six different compartments in a variety of sizes (three 2x2 inch compartments; one 4x6 inch compartment; one 3x4 inch compartment and one 2x3 inch compartment)

DCWV Paper Stack 12"X12" 48/Pkg

1/2 Sheets with gold foil, Printed Cardstock with gold foil

Along with this I have also used prima flowers, DMC fashion accessories etc.

There are 6 different kind of compartments in shadow box and you can arrange it as per your choice. i have used 3x4 inch of compartment on the top of the shadow box and made my cover page. I have not used few of the compartments as I wanted to put a mini album inside this book box. So, I have use only 4x6 inch of compartment inside, and put a mini album on the leftover space.

It's all upto you and your creativity that how you make use of this shadow box.

I am sure you can figure out the beautiful Dress My Craft charms in this project, I have used big pearl, pastel pearls, sunshine flower etc in this shadow box album.

So, you can see there are two compartments inside and I have made a small mini book with the title, "Never lose your sparkle"
