Tattered Florals Tutorial

Hi Everbody,
Shalini Pahwa here, today I’m going to share the tutorial on creating a flower using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals Die. Here's a Pix

Supplies needed-

Step 1. Place all of the flower layers into an embossingfolder and run it through your Big Shot machine.

Step 2. Ink each layer using Distress ink ( since my paper was white I had shaded both side)

Step3. Gently pat embossing ink onto the layer. You do not have to cover the entire layer. Just randomly blot the ink. While the embossing ink is still damp, pour Ranger super Fine Details embossing power onto the flower layer and repeat this step for each layers.

Step 5. Shake off the excess embossing powder and heat each layer with a heat tool.
Step 6. Ink the edges of each layer to add a little depth.
Step-7. You can choose which layer you would like to use and how to assemble them to create your flower. For the one flower I used three layer of large layer, and two medium.
Step 8.  Using a wooden skewer, curl the petals of the three layer inward and outward as shown.

Step 9. For the medium layer, push up all of the petals.

Step 10. Assemble your flower and place a brad, or small flower or pollens. And you’re done!!!

I used the remaining flower layers to create the flower ... Use your creativity to vary the look of the flower.

Thanks for checking out my tutorial. Hope you find it useful!!!!

Hello Friends ,
This is Mallika from Aola Handmade Cards , again with a post as part of the DT for Crafters Corner .
In this post I will be teaching you , how to make a Tri shutter Album .
I was always fascinated to make a mini album , and somehow this time I took out time to make mine .
This is what you will create . It opens up . It is a perfect valentines gift
As the picture says , It requires two tri fold cards .
I will be teaching you step by step on how to make this .

Things you will need -
Tonic Trimmer
Martha Score Board
Atg Glue Glider
Tim holtz Hanging sign Die
Mulberry flowers
Distress inks - I have used Gathered twigs { The new distress ink of my godfather Tim Holtz }
Magnolia Tilda Stamps - I have used Classic Bridal Couple
Cherry lynn dies - Butterflies and Magic Mirror .
Assorted stamps

Step 1 -
Cut your cardstocks
2 pc of 6 by 12 inches
2 pc of 6 by 6 inches
1 pc of 6 by 8 inches .

Step 2 -
Take your distress inks and distress the edges .

Step 3 -
We will now make two tri shutters
Now take the 6 by 12 inches pc of Cardstock  . Align the longer side with the score board and Score it at
2 , 4 , 8 , 10 inches . Do this to other 6 by 12 inches of cardstock too .

Step 4 -
Now take 6 by 12 cardstock . Rotate it diagonally . From 1 3/4 inches cut down a line from first score line to last scoreline . Rotate the cardstock by 180 degrees and do the same .
Apply the above step to both the pcs .

Step 5 -
Now start making alternate folds . One mountain and one valley . The picture will explain better .

Step 6 -
We have to now allign them together and stick to the 6 by 8 inches of cardstock .
But before sticking attach a ribbon to the 6 by 8 inches centre .

Step 7 -
Now take the two 6 by 6 inches of cardstock . Score them at 2 inches .
Now we will attach a flap to front .

Step 8 -
You will have a composition something like this .

Step 9 -

Heart shaped treat bag tutorial

Hello everyone!!
its kavitha here to share a  tutorial for making a heart shape treat bag(perfect for valentines day:))This is very easy to make with dies, you dont need any template at all.

I have taken the largest scallop heart die.Mark a 'V' shape like this upto 3/4th of the die cut(you can use any shape dies). Measure the length on both the sides. This is coming to 61/2 inches on both the sides.

Take a card stock measuring  61/2 inches by 2/1 inches.Score at 1/2 an inch on the both the sides lengthwise. Also score at 31/4 inches to make it into  'V' shape.Make a 'V' shape slit in the center.
Then apply a little bit of glue on the joining area and stick it together. Now stick this panel to the die cut.once it dires stcik the other die cut to the other side.
For the handle take 11/2 inches by 12 inches card stock and punch it on both the sides and stick it to the bag.
Hope i explained it clearly,i found it difficult in explaining this a bit,so if you have any doubt please leave a comment:))
