Tag created using distressing, stamping and embossing techniques

 Hi Friends

I am here today with my creation for the month and a detailed tutorial on the same.

Continuing the theme for the month – Stamping and Distressing, I have used various techniques of both of these to create a Gift Tag.

I would be dividing my tutorial in 3 parts – (a) Background, (b) Stamping and (c) Embellishing

Background : First I took a plain card stock and used distress ink to create hues of color across the tag (used Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink-- squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, broken china, peeled paint) using distress tool for blending inks. The colored tag is then de-embossed to create a nice embossed effect.( Spellbinders-M-bossilities folder- Graden Delight ) using Big Shot Machine

Stamping : The Tag is then stamped with inkadinkado stamp using a contrasting and darker color ink. The stamp would thence also highlight the embossing while also giving a nice chic look to the Tag background.

Embellishing : For finalization of tag design, mulberry flowers are pasted around the main message board which is “Heartfelt Wishes” in this case. Some additional embellishment like a key, hang ribbon etc. can be used as per your design compatibility.

For more information on this creation and any query, please feel free to ask.

A Colorful Hello! :)

Hi Everyone,
This is Hussena here to share with you a card I have made as an inspiration for our current theme which is 'Stamping'.....For my card first I have stamped my card base with Hero Arts Flourishes stamp using Versamark embossing ink ...And heat embossed it using Ranger Super fine clear embossing powder...After I heat set it I went a little crazy with Distress inks...And colored the background using them....Distress inks are water- based /dye inks and they have very vibrant colors and they retain the vibrancy even after they dry unlike other dye inks.....So when I distressed my card base using Mustard Seed,Tumbled glass ,Shabby Shutters ,Scattered Straw  the colors not only blended into each other but helped to make this very colorful background...I have then stamped some flowers & leaves & colored the flowers using Fired brick & the centre using Mustard Seed & Ripe Persimmon distress inks and the leaves with Shabby Shutters & Mustard seed.....I have used the Ranger Ink blending tool & foams to color in the flowers & leaves & then fussy -cut them & popped them on dimension...You will find all these supplies in our very own Crafter's Corner' shop :)...

DEEPLY IN LOVE.......

Hi Friends

Anita here, with another inspirational project for you. And I just loved making this one. All the products used here are very very precious to me.

This is a photo frame and I have altered it completely with lot of distressing, stamping and misting.
The focal point here is the very beautiful Tim Holtz tiny lantern --Idea-ology Mini Lantern 1.375 that actually has a battery and glows when plugged in. I just fell in love with it, the moment, I got it. It is so vintage!!!
This post is picture heavy so please be patient.

The tiny Tim Holtz Lantern

The verse

--so much love

Another view-the lantern is not glowing

The Glowing Lantern
.Isn't it very cosy and romantic!!!

Now lets have a look at all the supplies that I,ve used to make this.

I pasted papermania papers on a photo frame and distressed it with Distress inks-Old paper, vintage photo and aged Mahogany. The I used Masking from Tattered angles screens and  I stamped swirls from Inkadinkado-wedding collection and Hero arts -Script stamp. with Pumice Stone and Vintage Photo. This was followed by some misting from Tattered angles. That gave a nice shimmery look to the whole surface.
Now comes, dies----Extreme right corner has the famous Cherry Lynn Wedding Vows, Tim Holtz Weathered Clock, Cherry Lynn-Fanciful Flourish, Cherry Lynn- French Pastry Doiley, and  Leaves from Marianne. and the Lovely fence is from Magnolia.
The verse is from Quote Sticker Stack. The post is from Spellbinders-Elegant posts and the leaves are  Leaves from MArianne. The lantern label is the new spellbinder-Decorative Labels 8 embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folders-Swiss dots. The center frame is another CB folder.
All the dies have been cut in the Sizzix Big Shot MAchine and at Crafters Corner you get it at the best price.
