Hello friends!!!
How are your crafting days going by ?? I'm here to add more creativity to your craft life with the new 49 and Market stamps recently added to the Crafters Corner store. This is an amazing collection designed by the expert mixed media artist Gabrielle Pollocco. These stamps have been so designed that they provide ample scope to all those who are fond of doing mixed media projects. But you can even create many beautiful cards as well using this collection as I have shown you in my previous post here
49 and Market has a wide range of stamps designed to create texture on the projects be it brick background, cracked wall, stitches and also very shabby chic designs like Butterflies with grunge text. In combination with stamps, there are also pretty handmade flowers in shabby chic colours that coordinate well with the stamps.
Before I begin to show my project, there are few tips that I follow that makes my work easy. It depends from person to person as to how they proceed with their project.
1. Plan your project ahead-make a design in your mind as to how you would like give shape to your project.
2. Collect all the things that you will need. You can always have extra stencil designs on your table or some embellishments because a mixed media proceeds in its own flow and many new ideas may just pop up right on the table.
3. Always keep a balance between the embellishments, the central point that is the photo, and the surrounding elements.
4. Keep a check on colour palette-you do not want different colours shrieking out from various angles-a harmonious blend of colours is needed
5.Prepare in advance-colouring of embellishments, chip boards, die cuts, stamping and colouring, fussy cutting and all can be done in advance.
6. Keep a bottle of mister filled with water and some old rag handy. Keep cleaning your hands-mixed media is a messy art but you will love the mess!!
So just sit back and relax-here is the video on my layout using the fabulous 49 and Market stamps.
