Hello Folks,
Happy Sunday!
Today is my turn to post a project and I have to say that I am pretty okay with what I made but have serious doubts whether it will suit everybody's tastes. Having said that, I am so glad that we are showcasing Lindy's products this month. They have been on my wish list for so long that I had to squeal when I saw them available at our store.
I digress! Back to the topic. I decided to alter a journal cover. It was a plain black watercolour notebook and I thought that the outside had to be artistic, so here it is.
It is grungy and as usual very textured. I wanted to keep most of the surface white /cream and just have a rich pop of colour near the embellishment cluster. Not too successful due to some overspray but I am still happy with it. Since this was my artsy journal, I decided to use artsy supplies as embellishments. There are old battered brushes, a stapler pin, eyelets, a wooden ruler and even a crayon.
The background was made using a cross stitch mat ,stamped tissue paper and some bandages for textures.
I have used the following supplies for this project.
Little Lindy's - Red (Autumn Maple Crimson Starburst and Poinsettia Red Gold Stain)
Little Lindy's Brown - Gossamer Gold Moon shadow mist
Crafter's Corner Tiny Circles Stencil
Gesso
Modelling Paste
Studio Multi medium - Matte
