Love is in the air

Hi crafty people!!!
Big hello to all of you who follow our blog and like our efforts to inspire you !
There are going to be tonns of announcements and surprises once our dear Shalini is back from CHA...I am sure you all must be equally excited as we all are at Crafters corner. I can't wait to hold the latest releases in my hand and to play with them...
It's true that we all want new things in our collection but at times we must also check and use the beauties resting in our craft boxes.
Today's post is done by using an old cute stamp by Whimsy which fits perfectly with the Valentine theme.

I love colouring my images with copics and this particular image is very interesting.

I selected a patterned paper with little Daisy's from the Rustic collection by DCWV. It has some beautiful shades of pale green and red and I used similar colours for my stamped image.
Here is a pic to explain what I mean 😉

I wanted to sew the panels and did it using a white tread. It's a nice way to add a lil something to your project.
A zoomed in pic for you ....

I edged the image with some versa mark watermark ink and poured some Frantage to jazz up the project.I also used Enamel Accents here an there on the balloon.

The floral bouquet was also done by using a red daisy and tulips to match the pp and the image.

Here is the full picture of the card... I hope u like it and give it a try.

Lots of love

Penny black card!

Hi crafty people ,
Hope you had a great festive time and I am sure you must have created some awesome gifts and cards for your near and dear ones. There was so much at www.crafterscorner.in to choose from and there are new additions in stock literally everyday.Let me know your wish list and would surely love to see what all you created using them and get inspired. For this Diwali I altered few pretty baskets and buckets to gift yummy confectioners to my friends and relatives.
Ok now coming back on today's post I wanted to work on a card which can be created with any flower stamp in the collection. I have an obsession for Roses and this penny black power petal stamp set was just so tempting....
I also love fussy cutting my images so that I can layer them and create detailed dimensional projects.
The rose in the stamp set is quite bold and perfect for copic colouring. I stamped it with memento tuxedo black ink on Tim Holts patterned paper wallflower and coloured it with copics.
Similarly I stamped the leaves in olive grove ink by memento.
For the card layer I created my own glittered patterned paper. It was super duper easy. I used just two products and I had an amazing subtle glitter paper.
I took my wonder tape and stuck it at desired.

I peeled the red backing and poured in lots of clear rock candy dry glitter and I got this beautiful thing ...

The next steps will be fun to see and I will do a tiny bit of explanations where ever needed.

I Used few penny black stamps-lost w/out you ,flower festival and Foliage Fancy to create some layers in the background .Heavily distressed the paper with Vinatge Photo and Walnut Stain. I also added loads of wink of Stella clear shimmer over the roses.

Added a bow and a clock charm with glue dots to jazz up the card and here is how the finished card looks like.

I had a great time creating the Bouquet and the glittery pp.
So grab your favourite flower stamp or die, some glitter and tacky tape to created similar cards and surprise your friends .
Please share your creations & leave a  comment which is so very important for me.
Take care !!!!

Lots of love

Fussy Cut Masking !!

Hi crafty people,
Hope you all are creating awesome projects which makes all of us happy and stress free!!
This month we are researching on various stamping techniques few of which will be the old classic ones and few will be new and surprising !
My post for today mainly focuses on "masking" stamps which can create layered 3D impressions. Usually I mask my favourite girl " Tilda " with pretty backgrounds and  I call that"Basic Masking "
But today I m attempting a next level of masking which we will call " Extreme masking "
So without any delay lets begin this picture heavy tutorial with few instructions wherever needed :)

I am trying to create a floral arrangement using various stamps and believe me u can do a similar thing with stamps in your collection or if u wanna grow ur collection visit www.crafterscorner.in as the store is flooding with beautiful stamps .

Step 1: stamp the first image ( the one u want on top) with black ink

Also stamp it on a post it note to create a Mask. Fussy cut the mask very carefully.

Step 2: place the mask over this to completely hide it . Now take next stamp u wanna layer behind . Stamp it .

Now keep masking and stamping the next images till u r happy with the outcome.

Step 3: at this stage I decided to stamp the pocket watch to complete the arrangement.

And here is the result…isn't it pretty?

Step 4: colouring with copics or other medium ….

Guys I am sure u all will give it a try and the results will be mesmerising !!!
I pasted this panel on a journaling book cover and will send it out as a present to a very dear friend of mine...☺️

Here is the final pic ...
Please feel free to ask any questions about this technique and I will b more than happy to help u  !
All it needs is practice and a collection of few beautiful stamps .
Have a great day !!!
Hugs
Arjita 😊
