I 'heart' Hero Arts ink daubers!!

Hey!

I hope everyone is doing good.

I was so excited to see Hero Arts ink daubers at Crafters Corner a month ago and even more excited that Shalini asked me to try them for this post! :)

I wanted to come up with some fun ways to use daubers other than their use with stamps.

Let's get started!

Daubers with stencils-

For this card, I used daubers with a stencil to create a background. I added two layers of vellum to tone down the bright colors. Added few stickers that I have in my stash. I hope you can see the gorgeous background beneath the vellum layers.

I used two colors- Dark Quartz and Buttercup and I was so happy that they blended well to an extent that was required.

You could use just any stencil...either for a focal image or for a background, Just be sure to tape down the stencil firmly.

And now the fun begins! You must try this.

For this card, I 'wrote' the word 'friend' with the dauber. I did waste a few pieces of card stock but I am happy with the final result. Just make sure that you don't press down the dauber too firmly and that the ink flows uniformly. To give the word more definition, I added black dash lines.

Finished the card with sentiments from Mama Elephant 'Tree Friends' stamp set and also stamped few circles from Hero arts 'Circles' stamp set.

Doodling with the daubers was my husband's idea! He made this. :) Don't they look like the brush strikes? I love this super fun card!

I wanted to have more fun! I free those arrows and let them dry. Then stamped the sentiment and filled the loops with color using daubers.

since I'm talking about doodlibg with daubers, I wish to share two more cards I made using the same technique a month ago.

I free a speech bubble to frame my sentiment. Those dots were made using the sponge heads of daubers.

For this card, I gently squeezed put some ink from the daubers on to thd paper and let it run down the paper. Stamped the sentiment, and made those circles and my card is done!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and will give these fun techniques a try.

See you soon!
