Can you believe that we are at the end of the year and in just 30 days, we will be saying goodbye to to 2016!!!!
And what a year this has been !!!! At least for me , it's been a lucky year !!!! Because this year I joined Crafters Corner !!!!!

FOLKART PAINTED FINISHES 

Does the name seem to be familiar!!! Well, that's the awesome new paint from Plaid Folk art range and it is one fabulous product.So beautiful is the finish that I could not believe that such natural looking texture could be achieved with this.

FolkArt Painted Finishes is a Texture finish paint that gives a natural organic look to a project. These come in four colours-Concrete, Moss, Rust and Barnwood . Crafters Corner has Rust and Moss in both light and dark shade.

It is applied with a DAB-ON technique that is dabbing method and is non-toxic in formula.

You need not apply Mod-Podge to seal the project when painted with Painted finishes as it is a sealer also. I can be used on wood, plastic, ceramic, metal, concrete and glass.

I usually takes 4 hours to dry.

Surface preparation depends on the type of surface you've chosen.

• Wood –  Because FolkArt Painted Finishes Moss is a thick textural paint, there is no need for additional prep whether working on finished or unfinished wood, even if the surface is very rough.
• Terra Cotta – No prep is necessary when decorating terra cotta.
• Plastic – Wash plastic surfaces in warm, soapy water to remove any existing grease film. Allow to thoroughly dry.
• Papier Mache – No prep is necessary when decorating papier mache surfaces.
• Metal – Wash all new metal surfaces in warm, soapy water; allow to thoroughly dry. Moisten a paper towel or soft cloth with distilled white vinegar and wipe over surface; allow to dry.
• Cement, Masonry and Garden Statuary – Apply a coat of white vinegar (to neutralize lime), allow to dry, rinse, and then allow to dry thoroughly.

All  Painted Finishes paints can be used outdoors.

What type of brushes should be used for painting with Painted Finishes?

You must use Stiff bristle brushes to paint as these are heavy paints. The brushes can be easily cleaned with warm water and soap.

I have used these paints to create a wall decor piece with some textured effect using the Painted Finish Moss and Rust.

UNDER THE SEA MINIATURE

STONE PAPER AND A LOT MORE !!!

Hello Everyone !!!!

How is everyone doing ??? I'm Anita here with loads for excitement for you. A new day...a new product and a new brand !!!! New brand under Crafters Corner !!!!!! Now thats a big news !!!!
DRESS MY CRAFT a brand that is under the banner of Crafters Corner and has launched a new paper for flower making. So exclusive is this paper, that all flower lovers with just love it. /many more craft supplies will be added soon and there are many surprises too!!!

Now lets get on to work.
STONE PAPER !!!!! Another bombshell !!!! Is it paper that looks like stone or paper with stone like texture or paper as hard as stone !!!!!!! Let me clear your doubt.
Stone paper is a paper from Stamperia -the well known Italian brand and is ideally called the Paper of the future. It is made from a new type of natural fibre and is actually made from  powder form of Calcium Carbonate-hence the name stone paper and also some resins which makes it so soft and pliable. It is extra strong, very durable, water proof and can be machine washed!!!

 

It is a very versatile paper and can be used for a wide variety of projects and techniques like mixed media, flower making, jewellery, 3d projects, decoupage, stamping, embossing, and what not !!!!

It is quite big in size almost double A3 and so is real value for money.

Let me show you some pictures as to what all you can do with this amazing paper and then I have a video for you where you can get a detailed description. Do bear with me because it is a very heavy picture post.

Another product that I will highlight today is the Transfer paper and Transfer Gel also from Stamperia.

It can used to print design on any surface and makes any project look beautiful. 

I have made a phone cover using the stone paper , transfer gel and transfer paper. 

I made a pouch to the size of my phone and made holes along the sides using my crop a dile. Then I passed a twine through it to hold the piece together. You can even stitch it . Colour the cover using shimmer spray and then add some design with stamping. I am using stazon black ink because stone paper is washable and stazon is a waterproof ink. After this, follow the pictures below to see how I transfer images using the Transfer paper and gel.

Cut the image from the Transfer paper leaving about 1 mm around and apply transfer gel on the image. Adhere on to the surface image facing down and press well. Let it dry for 30 mins.

  After it has dried, soak it very well with water and using your fingers reove all the paper revealing the image beneath.

BLAZING BUNCHES ---- A FABULOUS PAPER COLLECTION BY BOB N BETTY

This is Anita here.
Papers and especially beautiful pattern papers are every crafters delight. We collect them, hoard them and use them lovingly to create beautiful projects. So in a way, paper is the foundation and essence of any project. And so I present a beautiful collection by Bob n Betty -a brand -made in India that makes exclusive pattern papers to suit every crafters need.
The Blazing Bunches is a unique paper collection adorned with bunches of peony flowers that are so beautiful that I really had a hard time running my scissors through them.
These papers have been exclusively created for Crafters Corner and are only available here.

BLAZINGBUNCHES-a paper collection adorned with bunches of blooming Peony flowers with a background of black and white. Words fail when it comes to describe the beauty of these designer papers. Some pages have dots and some have layers of Peony blooms waiting to become a part of a memory album, or a time piece.

You have it right !!! I have two projects with me. One showcases the beauty of the Blazing Bunches papers as a mini album with subtle mixed media done on the pages. I have used Zutter binding for my album and have used tags and photo mats in between the pages . An album treasures all the memories and when combined with beautiful papers, these memories become a treasure.

Memories become a treasure with Time. Such is the relation between memories. Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters and the memories that we cherish become priceless with time. So I have another project where I have used 3D decoupage on a Wall Time Piece . I have layers of flowers with wood graining in the centre to highlight the beauty of the flowers that are strewn throughout the paper collection.

I hope you like these projects as much as I enjoyed making them. All I can say is having these papers make me so happy that I feel real beauty finally lies within the sheets of my paper stash.
