Goodbye Static Pad - Review

Hello, Tejal here today with another review for you ...

If you are like me and love Embossing....then today's product is a must-must-must have for you. Today I'm talking about the Goodbye Static pad...or also called the Anti-Static bag.

What is it?? Its a anti-static powder in cloth bag..which when used before any heat embossing, use of glitters, perfect pearls etc..eliminates static. So your powders stick only where they are meant to and not anywhere else.

Have you ever embossed and found random stray dots here and there...especially if you are heat embossing with white on a Dark Card-stock?? This is the solution.

Join me for a step by step demo of how to use it

Here I am ready with my supplies for heat embossing. My Versamark, American Crafts or Ranger White embossing powder, Heat gun, Stamp set and The Goodbye Static bag

Lets get started..
Your Anti static pad comes in a re-useable ziplock bag..keep it inside always when you are not using it.

Get your Cardstock ready....and get your Anti static bag out of its ziplock bag.
You can either pounce on your cardstock or wipe the surface with it.
 For me pouncing works better.

Cover the whole area where you are going to be embossing.  No need to cover the whole card if you are going to emboss only in the corner.....

This is what your CS should look like after swiping with Anti static bag. I'm doing two pieces...one with Anti static bag, one without....so I can show the difference in the embossing.

After you've pounced the anti static powder on the CS....do not touch it more than necessary.  Else you shall get finger prints again on the CS, which will nullify the effect of the anti static pad.

Now ink your stamp with Versamark and stamp it on your Card stock

I kind of forgot to take a picture of the next step....Just add your embossing powder....tap off the excess and Heat set it.

After your embossing has cooled down a bit, take a piece of misted cloth or even just a dry rag will do....rub it over your embossed piece to remove any excess Anti static powder that remain after embossing.

And you're done!

To actually see the difference I am talking about...ZOOM out this pic on another tab and see.

1. The one with Anti-static pad has one or two random spots of white embossing powder...the 2nd piece ... it has a million..
2. See the embossing on the word "Special". The one without Anti static pad has cracked in places, while the one with the Anti static pad, is very very smooth.

And this one pad will last you a long long time...so if you love embossing, this is one tool you need to have in your kitty!!

You can also use it when you are embossing with Glitters, Perfect pearls, etc.

As always, if there are any doubts or queries, feel free to leave a comment or email me.
