EMBOSS RESIST AND EMBOSSED EDGES--A Tutorial

Hi Friends,

Its Anita here with a tutorial highlighting upon two heat embossing techniques as the theme this month is  all about heat embossing.
These two techniques are resist embossing and embossing the edges of spellbinders labels or nestibilities.
This tutorial will also show how the Versamark Watermark pen can be used to add subtle shades to your project and also its use as a correction pen.

So lets begin.

                                                              Gather all the supplies

Apply the Versamark watermark pad all over the background stamp
                                                             and stamp on the envelope

Using the heat tool dry the stamped area.

Now using the distressing applicator, distress with Tumbled Glass and the more you distress
the background will become more prominent.

Then distress with Shabby shutters. You can now clearly see the embossed background.
This method is called Resist Embossing.

Now using the Versamark watermark pen add shades on the background.

Draw all over the edges of the die cut using the watermark pen.

Put embossing powder and fully cover the edges.

Use the heat gun to see the edges turn into a nice glossy bordered edge.

Do you see the areas where the powder has not stuck?
Here comes the correction pen--aka the watermark pen.
Simply apply on the non-embossed parts.
rinkle EP again and heat and here you get a fully embossed edge.

Apply the embossing pad all over the sentiment stamp.

Now put the Black embossing powder.
Heat it with heat gun and see the beautiful embossed sentiment. Distress with shabby shutters.
Put it on your embossed envelope. Decorate with mulberry flowers and blings
